On Friday Apthe boats will be participating on the water at the Desert Storm “Parade of Power” and Poker Run. You have to see these sports boats up close and personal, trust me you’ll be blown away by their size! Don’t miss out on the excitement Thursday! Last year’s turnout was over 10,000 people! Thursday Apkicks off The Desert Storm Street Party located in Lake Havasu’s Main Street (McCullough Blvd) is a site to see displaying many of the racing boats up and down the boulevard.
2014’s top speed - a whopping 170 MPH by Gary Smith! All performance boaters are invited to participate! The air will be buzzing with the racers’ helicopter teams flying above the boats right above the water. Running from the heart of Lake Havasu (starting at Site Six off of the island) to Spectator Point, top speeds upwards of 160+ MPH are not uncommon here. One of Lake Havasu City’s biggest events kicks off this week! Named “ One of the Top Five Poker Runs in the Nation” by Performance Boats Magazine, the 17th Annual Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout is sure to be a great time for anyone.
